As someone who works with architecture, Alfie's eyes have always been drawn upwards across the facades that line the streets we walk through. But after more than two weeks in Madrid lockdown, between the same 6 surfaces, during his brief and infrequent trips outside, he has been finding a higher delight still more captivating: looming or luminous, the magical slices of sky cut-out by the city around us - our underappreciated urban ceiling.
